video media of our church services, and Upward Basketball and
Cheerleading. We are...a loving and caring family of believers
in Jesus Christ who are committed to becoming more like Jesus,
loving others as Christ has loved us, and disciplining children, youth
and adults to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ through
worship, prayer, teaching, and outreach ministries.

Annual Meeting
Sunday January 29 at 10:40 AM Morning Worship Service followed by the voting for the 2012-13 officer and delegates. Another voting opportunity will be between 5:30-6:00 PM. 6 PM - Annual Meeting - reports and results of the election.

Teen Fundraiser - Sweeties For Your Sweetie!
$1 will get you three cookies and a card for Valentines Day!

New Socks:
We are collecting new children's socks for the Ilmagwon Orphanage in Kunsan, Republic of Korea. This is an effort by Sr. Airman Theresa Speer (related to Vyrel Owen-Carr) to provide "warm socks for cold feet" at the orphanage. There is a box in the foyer and we will send it on February 1.

Alabaster Offering Contest
February 19. Recognition presented for the heaviest offering and for the heaviest/best presentation. All entries should be turned in by February 12. Offerings after that date will be joyfully accepted nevertheless. More is better this time!! Contests will be weighed.

January is a L.E.V.E.L month

Referees for Upward still needed!
See Nathan Kelley if you can help or you know of someone who can help in this area of Upward Basketball this year. He needs their name and phone number. There will be a Referee Training meeting on January 26 at 7 PM.

Reminder:
Doyle White is still collecting aluminum pop cans and donating the proceeds to the church building fund. Check with Doyle on where to leave them or you may drop them off in the Sunday School office.
